In the lounge there's a little library section, showing the books we've gathered over fifteen years 🙂. We've divided the shelves into three areas, matched to three stages of a child's development—0-2, 3-4, 5+— placing suitable themes at each, with shelf heights set to what a child of that age can reach on their own, so children can freely explore, meet different books, and have their interest in reading sparked 📖💗.

Right now the library holds somewhere around 1,350-2,000 books, across all kinds of themes and the 0-8 age range (8-and-up isn't kept in the lounge). The themes run from knowing one's own body and feelings, accepting one's own uniqueness, seeing and caring for others, to animals and nature, art and classics, science and early English, women as role models, sustainability, cross-cultural perspective—accompanying children into the world's many kinds of knowledge 🙂.

One thing worth noting: the way we sort the picture books in the lounge isn't by the age a publisher suggests, but by our own observations from reading and growing alongside a child— a "thematic selection" built to match the life and inner development of children at different stages 🙂. Beginning from one's own core, extending to connection with others, then opening out to knowing the world. Which is why, in building the collection database, just creating tags and book notes that truly meet how people choose books took nearly two months 😣…

At last—our collection database is done 📖✨. Over 1,300 picture books and titles, organised by the logic of "thematic selection." You can search by the layers of a child's inner development (knowing oneself → owning oneself → caring for others → knowing the world), or by theme and interest (animals, art, English…). Age range and English level can be narrowed further, too. Anyone who loves picture books, or parents wanting to read together with their child, can leaf through the catalogue first~ matching by theme and age, or by English ability 🙂. We hope those of you who love picture books or reading will each meet, here, the book you love—the interesting one, the one that resonates somewhere inside— and create lovely reading memories together with your child 🥰📖.

A note: the book descriptions are still being edited, so the content may not be complete 🙂—please take them as a reference. When you meet a themed book that interests you, we'd also recommend searching a little further, to learn more 📖. The catalogue link is in the comments 👇
