But...(就是這個but)

Nature Made

Naked Goods — A Pure Kind of Care

The love we give our children so often begins with *noticing*.

When I learned that an infant's skin is only a third to half the thickness of an adult's,
with a barely-there outer layer,
I began to mind what my child was absorbing through it each day—
whether it was something harmful, something adding to the body's quiet burden.

A new mother then, I wanted—so naturally—to give my child the best care and protection,
and set out to find bath and wash products I could truly trust.

1 / 12

From the very start of parenting, I chose attachment parenting and breastfeeding,
and was lucky, in that first year, to meet a maker of fine handmade breast-milk soaps.
Breast milk nourishes far beyond cow's or goat's;
soap made on that base leaves the skin soft and dewy—
tender young skin on the outside, the metabolic system within, both cared for at once.

But… (yes, that *but*)
the milk months always come to an end.
"So—what now?"

2 / 12

There are plenty of things labelled natural, non-toxic. But…
one look at the ingredients on the back, and the feel of them after use,
kept telling me: this isn't the natural I'm looking for.

3 / 12

And so, as life kept turning with my child's growing,
that instinct to protect—born of love—slowly became a wider care for life itself,
a way of living with tenderness held close.

Wanting to give my child natural and non-toxic → I joined the Homemakers' Union co-op.
Wanting to keep body, heart and spirit well → I walked into Waldorf education.
Wanting to restore my own well-being → I took up breath, meditation, yoga, mindful movement.

4 / 12

Thinking of that small life I love, growing step by step into this world,
with a whole long life ahead of them—
the caring instinct of a parent quietly kept pushing me to search:
what, for them, is *good*.

And in that steady searching, I met a maker who longed for the same things—
the natural, the pure, a kindness toward the earth and all its beings: *Naked Goods*.

5 / 12

Naked Goods' founder, Ruan Ping, woke to something after being deeply moved by nature,
and decided to clear every chemical from her home and begin a wholly different way of living.
Her meeting, in the forests of Chiang Mai, with a truly *made-by-nature* wash—
built around soapberry and EM cultures, blended by hand with different plants—
is what let this complete, natural purity find its way into our lives,
and made real the care I'd wanted to give my family.

6 / 12

Naked Goods stands for—bare skin, bare heart, bare earth.
Not only letting something pure and chemical-free meet our skin,
but being kind to the very ground we walk on.
Made by hand from natural botanicals, low in carbon—
this insistence on being "bare" is so that the world our children grow into
still keeps the breath of the forest and the warmth of the earth.

7 / 12

Meeting Naked Goods let me feel that
when we're willing to strip away the additions we once thought necessary,
to set down the hold of our own fixed beliefs,
a pure and simple quality of life turns out, instead, to be more abundant 💛🌿

8 / 12

Everything in the Naked Goods range carries a pure, natural feel—
a realness connected straight to the earth.
Since using it, I've never gone back to another brand ☺️

The additive-free naturalness the skin feels
is like breathing when the forest's own air wraps around you.
That weightless clean,
and the soft moisture left on the skin after rinsing,
feel like being held by the forest's particular dampness—
all of it so… natural, and at ease.

9 / 12

Ingredients wholly Nature Made,
a process with nothing extra added,
and even the distance in how we feel things seems lifted—
the texture of living turns pure, direct, open,
and the heart's connections grow simpler, and softer, too.

The soap on our washstand and the bottled hand wash
are the goat's-milk handmade soap and Naked Goods' lemongrass body wash 🌿💛
If you're also looking, for your child, for that "forest kind of breath,"
come feel it with us next time you visit 😉

"If we're willing to explore,
life—and a life—can hold other possibilities 🌱"

11 / 12

The Nature Made series shares the stories behind the things we choose for the space.
Every small piece of this parent-child lounge
comes from one long journey of choosing, made out of love 🌺
